  • The Hotel is nearly out of rooms. But if you cannot book a room in the convention hotel there are four nearby hotels as overflow. The two closest hotels - the Genting & Crowne Plaza hotels are both more expensive than our Executive rooms, but do offer more choice. Further out but still within a 10 minute walk are the Novotel Hotel and Arden Hotel & Leisure Club and both offering rates under £100 for a single. There are cheaper rates at other hotels - but these are not within walking distance of the Metropole.
  • Shoreline of Infinity's Event Horizon - Live Science Fiction at Innominate Eastercon 2017

We're looking for talented science fictioners to perform at a showcase event at Innominate Eastercon 2017. It could be a reading, drama, poetry, music, demonstration, stand-up, dance, juggling - any kind of performance, lasting 10 mins - obviously with a science fiction & fantasy theme.

Send me a link to a video or audio performance of what you do - don't worry about the tech quality, as long as the performance shines through. We'll pick a good selection for the Event Horizon.

Deadline for submissions - Sunday 5th March. Send your video or audio link to: editor@shorelineofinfinity.com  Any questions to the same address.

  • We do not have access to our venue during the day on Thursday for setting up. This means we are even more in need of volunteers to help build the convention on Thursday evening and Friday morning. If you want to volunteer - but not during the con itself, have never volunteered before, or are curious about con-running this is a great opportunity to get involved and see how a convention works. No experience is necessary and we can find jobs for everybody! Regular volunteers are of course welcome. If you can help please visit ourVolunteer Page.
